2024-25 Grants
The Morris Educational Foundation funds projects in the Morris School District that create new models for learning, enrich the curriculum, promote self-esteem, enhance and expand enrichment opportunities, and help teachers grow professionally. Our goal is to ensure the highest level of educational innovation supporting students and staff in all 10 schools in a partnership of lifelong learning.

Support for Morristown High School’s All-Night Graduation Party fundraiser.

Reading Readiness: Preschooler-Parent Shared Reading – $5,420A monthly bilingual book club for preschoolers and their parents.

A Laughing Together Workshop by Wellness Together to help teachers understand how comedy can be a useful tool in the classroom.

An author talk, visit and a signed book for all second graders from The Very Impatient Caterpillar author/illustrator Ross Burach.

Fifth-Grade Author Visit - $4,000
An author talk, visit and signed books from New York Times bestselling author John Patrick Green (the InvestiGATORS series) for all 5th-grade students.

Senior Signs for all Graduating 8th Graders and High School Seniors - $5,000
To recognize our students’ success.

Screen for the 6th grade wing at Frelinghuysen Middle School – $990
For the display of real-time updates, announcements, event schedules, news, important messages, and SEL efforts.

Sixth Grade Academy Planners – $2,500
Planners to help the Frelinghuysen Middle School 6th grade class improve executive function skills, specifically organization and time management.

Superintendent Fellowship Table Events – $3,000
A morning tea appreciation event for all Morris School District Kindergarten teachers to connect with colleagues and a June retreat for Morris School District Administrators.

Tutoring at Frelinghuysen Middle School – $3,600
Funding for the after-school math and language arts tutoring program.

A year-long, school-wide initiative designed to highlight the new Social Studies curriculum through music, art, physical education, social studies, and reading.

To replace existing unplayable horns for the Morristown High School Marching Band.
