Second Grade Author Event – $6,000
Funding from a private donor to support an author talk and visit from author/illustrator Ross Burach. All 2nd-grade students attended the assembly where students read his book, “The Very Impatient Caterpillar” out loud with Mr. Burach and learned how to draw the caterpillar from the book. All students received a signed copy of the book, and all 2nd-grade teachers and each schools’ media center received a copy.
