2026

Amount:

$12,000 ($6,000/year for two years)

Description:

The Charles D. Seligson Scholarship was established in January 2026 by Betsy Seligson in memory of her husband, Chuck.  Chuck earned a master's degree and PhD in mathematics and electrical engineering from Cornell University, funding his education largely through scholarships and manual labor during the summers. He began his career in research at Bell Labs before expanding into sales. Chuck went on to lead his own company specializing in bringing state-of-the-art technology to new markets. While sales became his passion, it was his STEM education that formed the foundation of his expertise, giving him the ability to understand and communicate any new technology. A resident of Morris Township for 30 years, Chuck was a champion of the diversity of Morristown. He had a genuine love for people and a rare gift for bringing out the best in them.
