Advanced Mirrorless Camera Photography: $8054
The MHS Photography program received two advanced mirrorless cameras to provide students with the tools needed to capture high-quality images of fast-paced sports and school events, especially under challenging lighting conditions like evening games and theatre performances. Students from Photo 2/3/4 classes, along with yearbook and theatre participants, gained hands-on experience photographing spring events including Les Misérables, varsity games and the Spring Pep Rally.
Photo TA Mason Mitchell shared, “Using the new professional cameras helped me greatly enhance my skills and better prepared me for pursuing photography after high school.”
This grant has already improved the quality of school media, supported career-based learning, and will continue to benefit students for years to come.
